Acupuncture Point Injection Therapy (APIT)

Acupuncture Point Injection Therapy ( APIT ), with the injection of sterile biological substances such as herbal extracts, homeopathic medicines, vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients, In addition to compounds that include natural or bioidentical hormones and pharmaceutical substances such as saline by hypodermic needle into specific acupuncture points and or sites on the body to prevent and treat disease. This leading technique is at the forefront as being one of the fastest-growing integrative medical modalities in the state of Florida and many other states that include APIT in their practice act. This is a 60-hour course—40 hours of theory and over 20 hours of clinical applications, including a supervised practicum.

Advanced Acupuncture Point Injection Therapy

 

The Advanced Acupuncture Point Injection Course is for those that have taken the Certification APIT and want to advance beyond discovering different solutions to use for many different TCM patterns. Students will learn to be efficient in nutraceuticals with specific attention to the contraindications. Case studies will be discussed in multiple disease states and the attendee will feel comfortable when choosing points and solutions to assist patients further. The history of Acupuncture Point Injection and the significance it plays in the TCM field is discussed while exploring literature, studies, and research in the field. Herbs, vitamins, and homeopathic solutions are presented to the students. New techniques, biomedical, and ethics also highlighted in this advanced training. A special component in facial rejuvenation injection methodology and safety issues with all acupuncture point injections. Attendees will be competent to use what they have learned immediately following this class if their state has injection rights.

ADVANCED Gynecological Course

This course will teach the integration of the Eastern and Western worlds of medicine in Gynecology. Vocabulary, lab testing, herbal prescriptions, and nutrition will be discussed in detail. Students will discover ways to discuss cases with other healthcare providers proficiently. Students will cover case studies and reporting in detail based on TCM theory and Western Medicine.

 

Addiction Treatment Course

This course will give the attendee a complete understanding of addictions with the psychology and associated brain functions as well as brain chemistry and the chemical effects that acupuncture has on the brain with specific drugs and medications. Students will be provided insights, case studies, techniques, and herbal interventions. With acupuncture being mentioned continuously. This class prepares the Acupuncturist for the patient that is coming off opioids, choosing an alternative pain management program, or those that are addicted to street drugs.

 

Trauma treatment course

This course will cover the physiology of trauma and understanding the processes and procedures of treatment within the Florida Scope of Practice. Common mechanisms of injury, physiological aspects of inflammation following a traumatic incident, and the incredible human mechanism will be covered in its entirety, History of Trauma Medicine in TCM will be encompassed within the course. An action-packed course in evaluation and effective solution treatment of Trauma in TCM. The hands-on course will walk the attendee through the many aspects of Trauma Care with the use of herbs, herbal concoctions, and theory to be used immediately following the course and continuing through any traumatic event. This course is for students or licensed acupuncturists that desire to help and serve whenever the case appears. Trauma and Emergency Medicine for the Acupuncturist is an emerging component of the profession and this course gives you the preparation and experience one needs.

 

End of Life care Course

One-day intensive covering the physiological, social and physical care of the dying. The role of an Acupuncturist can be impactful during a terminal condition. Learn the many aspects of that role and how TCM theory plays such an important role. Students will learn what end-of-life care is, the signs of end-of-life, and how to integrate and work with Hospice Care. When should Hospice be called in? Dignity and Dying will be discussed completely with professionals and healthcare workers from the Hospice community. The role of the Acupuncturist within a team approach and supporting family members with TCM. Define and describe the philosophy of palliative care and end-of-life care, and how to utilize the philosophy to make sure no part of caring for your patient with a life-limiting illness is overlooked. Students will be competent in defining and describing how to assess emotional and spiritual Qi.
